About

Emily: mindfulness and compassion facilitatorAs well as qualifying as the first UK-based teacher of Stanford University’s mindfulness and compassion course (CCT), I am a certified Mindfulness In Schools Teacher, Forest School Leader, and consultant working on sustainable business and public sector innovation.

All my work has grown through practice. My experience ranges from launching peoplefund.it (which went on to become the UK’s largest ethical crowdfunding platform, Crowdfunder), to co-founding one of the UK’s first community-owned surplus food cafes. As a consultant and qualified project manager, I have worked with a range of organisations from Fortune 500 Global companies and Purpose, to local authorities and the arts sector. I’m currently an Associate with Swarm.

I bring over 15 years of practice to meditation teaching and consultancy. This diverse experience helps me relate practically to a wide range of settings from corporate and community, to education and enterprise.

My approach integrates mindfulness and meditation practice, with contemporary psychology, scientific research, and a range of creative media. My focus is always on helping people discover the sparks of joy, curiosity and wisdom in transformational practice.

I’m currently: exploring transformational practice as part of a scholarship MA in Sustainable Leadership; developing Sustainable Compassion – an online course in mindfulness and compassion for personal and social transformation; and developing a creative project exploring the relationship between mental health, society and nature.
